Mission Statement

I have created this site with the following goals in mind: educate, enable, encourage.

1. Educate

The latest news and information about clinical trials with CF will be explained in a more 'down to earth' way. My background as an air quality researcher, scientist and CF patient, qualifies me to report on such topics. I will do my best to cut through the scientific jargon and medical terminology to help identify the information that is relevant to the CF community.

2. Enable

This site will frequently feature how-to articles, tips, tricks, and suggestions about how to make living with CF more bearable. The purpose of such is to demonstrate that although CF is formidable, it is not to be feared. The contents of this site will enable you to make positive changes in your life that will allow you to cope most effectively with the disease. Whether you're a patient, a caregiver, spouse, or just a friend, you will find something valuable here.

3. Encourage

As you read more about me and how I face the challenges of living each day with a chronic illness, I hope you will be encouraged. In many cases I will be the voice of someone who has "been there" and lived to tell about it. I will also help connect you with other reputable CF sites and resources. CF can be an isolating disease, but that doesn't mean you have to face it alone.
